Cardiac CT Training

Dear Ladies and Gents:

I kindly invite and welcome you to participate in our training courses and BOARD reviews to become familiar with these new and fascinating techniques of imaging the coronary arteries and the heart with CT and MR. You will be exposed to an intensive course with exclusive case material which will enable you to recognize all important diagnostic pattern and relevant pathologies of coronary artery diseases as assessed by cardiovascular CTA and MR imaging. Whether you are a radiological or cardiological trained imaging expert, you will learn to understand the specific differences and clinical indications of using cardiac CTA and MR as compared to other modalities such as Nuclear Imaging, Echo or x-ray catheterization. Moreover you will be familiarized how to communicate these findings effectively with your referring physicians. Hundreds of physicians trained by me from all over the world are testimony, that you will become not only an expert but also develop into a future advocate for cardiovascular CT/MR imaging.

Cardiovascular MR & CT Services, Level-III Trainer
University of Florida, Gainesville, USA

Dr. Wilke received his medical education and part of his training in Cardiology and Nuclear medicine at the University of Erlangen, Germany. In 1993, he came to US to establish a Cardiovascular MR Program at the University of Minnesota. While at the U of Minnesota he completed his clinical training in a Radiology residency program and cross trained also as a Cardiology Fellow.

Starting in 2002, Dr. Wilke began working with University of Florida building an internationally and nationally acclaimed Cardiac MR and CT clinical, research and training program.

In Florida he introduced and keeps teaching new imaging concepts of early detection of Coronary Artery Disease using MR and CT. He promotes non- invasive 'Preventive Imaging' for all cardiovascular diseases in a complimentary fashion.

He also developed clinical workflows for the assessment of patients with Chest Pain in the ED as well as consulting private imaging Centers applying advanced, clinical cardiac MR and CT imaging modalities. Dr. Wilke continues publishing, lecturing and teaching worldwide. Hundreds of physicians have been trained by him. He is a founding member of the SCCT (Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography) and SCMR, and held several elected positions with the SCCT, NASCI (North American Society of Cardiac Imaging) and SCMR (Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance) as a Board member as well as the Scientific Program Chair.
